Michigan Urban Farming Initiative - Campus Tours
Welcome to the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative! We are creating America’s first sustainable urban agrihood using agriculture as the centerpiece of a mixed-use neighborhood.
Our three-acre campus includes innovations in blight deconstruction and rehabilitation, a two-acre urban farm that produces more than 300 vegetable varieties, a children’s sensory garden, Detroit’s only high-density fruit orchard, and more.
We are happy to accommodate scheduled campus tours to showcase our work and projects. Due to the amount of requests we receive, we accommodate requests on a first come, first serve basis. Tours are scheduled in advance and given each Friday only at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Tours are up to one hour in duration, depending upon group size. We can accommodate groups of 10 or less. Monetary donations of any amount are encouraged and greatly appreciated.
Due to ongoing project work, we cannot accommodate on-site pop up or requests with 24 hours notice or less. They must be prescheduled online with at least 48 hours notice.
To schedule a tour, please fill out and submit the information below. Please add the Friday date and time slot you wish to reserve. Tours are scheduled on a first come, first-served basis.
